It all began with a simple goal — and a big dream.
Ibrahim and Khadeeja wanted to buy a hoverboard. They gave themselves a year to save enough money, and like many kids with determination, they started exploring ideas. They sold chocolates. They talked about setting up a lemonade stand. They even offered to help their parents with cleaning and small chores.
But something didn’t feel quite right.
They didn’t just want to earn money — they wanted to do something meaningful. Something that reflected who they were and what they genuinely loved.
One day, they came to me with a different idea.
“Can we read to other kids?”
“Can we tell them stories?”
Reading had always been their strength. Books were their comfort, their curiosity, and their joy. They loved storytelling, voices, imagination, and connecting with stories — and they wondered if that love could be shared with others.
That simple question became the spark.
What started as a way to save for a hoverboard turned into something much bigger:
a mission rooted in the love of reading, kids helping kids, and growing together through stories.
